City ClerkMindy F. Gall The City Clerk serves as the City’s personnel officer, the purchasing and contracting officer and the chief administrative officer for three pension plans. The City Clerk also supervises the administration of all employee benefit and compensation programs, manages all City insurance policies and serves as the City’s labor relations administrator. The agendas and minutes for all City Council meetings are done in the Office of the City Clerk. Working with the Director of Accounts and Finance, the annual City budget is developed in this office. The City Clerk coordinates actions required for audits of the City’s financial operations, pension funds and liquid fuels tax fund and implements corrective action to address noted findings. Civil Service tests by the City Civil Service Board to fill vacancies in the City’s Bureaus of Fire and Police are coordinated in this office. Administrative AssistantSusan E. Evans The administrative assistant performs complex skilled clerical and administrative work supervising and participating in providing office assistance and administrative tasks in the Office of the City Clerk and Office of the Mayor. Responsible for preparation of the City’s payroll, the administrative assistant serves as the City’s payroll technician. The administrative assistant prepares folders for the City Council meetings and takes appropriate action following meetings to implement actions and decisions made by Council. The Administrative Assistant is the City of Butler Open Records Officer Finance ClerkHeather D. Blair The finance clerk performs intermediate technical work involving the preparation and maintenance of the financial or related records and serves as the system administrator for the City’s automated financial records-keeping system and automated payroll. The finance clerk serves as the accounts payable technician. Clerk/TypistAnna C. Pritts The clerk typist prepares general correspondence as directed by the Administrative Assistant, City Clerk or Mayor. The clerk typist enrolls new hires in benefits offered by the City. She serves as the receptionist for the office and provides information to visitors or callers. |
